Washington, DC is about to get an energy that it hasn't had for some time; rebellious energy, rebellious sound and rebellious power! Rebel Soul Fest will feature the heavy VI roots of Bambu Station, Afro-GoGo's Crank Lukongo, and the emerging powerhouse, The Mighty Joshua.

This is a gathering of the genres all in fire for the culture. Also appearing will be Special Guests the multi-faceted, Jah-I-Witness along with the vibes of the heaviest selector in Washington, DC, Radio Andy.

This inaugural Reggae Music: God's Gift Conference will focus on Politics, Love & the Soul Stirring of Roots Reggae music. Saturday will be a day long conference and gathering of the Village to discuss, highlight and celebrate the importance of such content and lyrics in Roots Reggae music. The conference will feature panel discussions with noted Reggae scholars and luminaries, Dj music sessions, performing artists, vegan cuisine and a cultural arts & crafts Village. Admission: Free

This Friday evening starts the inaugural Reggae Music: Gift To Humanity Conference. The evening will being with a heartical Dj Roots Session with DJ Gino, a segment featuring great spoken word artists including Abena Disroe, Sista Kim Bey, Heru Ofori - Atta, and Bambu Station's Jalani Horton. The evening will conclude with DC's own mighty Proverbs Reggae Band. An evening not to be missed, a weekend sure to be remembered. Admission: $20

Roots in the Village, the "Love & Joy" edition is postponed for this evening! Catch us for the Reggae Music: Gift To Humanity Conference on June 7 and 8th at the ELife Center @ Hampton Park. The Conference will feature strong panel discussions, artist performances and a vendor's village.

A special evening to celebrate the extraordinary music of the legendary master, George Benson. Haile Israel and the Culture Ensemble will be the featured performer at the new and intimate, The Life Center @ Hampton Park venue. The "Priest" is coming to bless the DMV Jazz lovers.
